>I have just run across this problem in a commercial product I have out. it happened when my customer printed a report the report printed and was sent to the printer but this error popped up and there system froze, this is the only customer it is happening with. Microsofts online help was no help at all. told me to read developers guide chapter then call Microsoft. Any body have any ideas and what is a invalid seek offset any help would be appreciated.

Joe,

Invlaid seek offset is ameory error. Contrary to popular belief it is not directly associated with indexes, but a bad index can cause it to show up. The most common causes for the error is a conflicting application or device driver. Win32s can also cause these errors.

To track this down you will need to have the user go through the clean boot process and add drivers back in one at a time until you find the culprit.
