They are defined in the class but not visible in the IDE Properties window or Properties Editor.

It looks like a bug. IDE was never adjusted when _Access/_Assigns were introduced

In order for any class to be subclassed in VFP it has to have a bunch of properties and methods related to that. An Empty object was created per VFP developers requests to have very light object w/o any extra properties or methods.
