And Outlook 2007 never does actually "close"!!!!!
Yes, it does disappear from the screen and the taskbar, but it's still there and running!
How do I know?... 2 clues:
1) E-mail continues to arrive even after shutting it off;
2) The Microsoft-sourced backup utility, which only starts up once Outlook is stopped, does not run until you shut down or restart Windows! That seems to be the only time that Outlook 2007 does really shut down
So, not only slower, but far more flaky too.
>Why are Microsoft Products getting slower with each release???

>I just installed Office 2007, and it takes forever for an email to display
>when I click on it, and that's AFTER it's already been downloaded.

>When I launch Word, it takes forever for it to open.

>SQL 2005 takes forever for it to open AND to close.

>I remember when these products were fast.
