That's a great book, but I was thinking that might be overkill for him. What do you think? I mean, he has no FoxPro background whatsoever, none, zilch. I don't think he wants to write OOP or anything like that, but just functional programs for short-term use and quick finish. How he can write in C++ and not go nuts, I'll never understand.
