For VFP tables, the limit is still 2 GB (I think, but especially if you still need to access the tables from VFP directly). Advantage also has a native format which has more capabilities and raised the limit to, I believe, 4 GB (I'm at home right now and don't have the docs with me).

You can continue to access the tables directly or you can use CAs, remote views, or SQL passthrough with the ODBC driver.
