Hey, I thought *I* was the resident cranky old man <s>

Compared to the logic of the plots of Prison Break or 24 I find SCC very believable <g> They sort of start out with the premise - Robots - time travel - deal with it - and go from there.

Summer Glau is ugly? Man, you're gonna get Goffed for that. ( I will only jump in if someone disses the MILF. )

I don't really remember the movies, except maybe the first one. Not my thing. But they seemed more about Arnold or the robots.

Anyway, this one strikes me as delightfully stylish. The scene in episode 2 of 'Tinman' (Glau) mimicing the behavior of the gang girl, obviously processing cues to make her more human, was classic. Not a lot of time for that stuff in a 100 minute movie but this TV show is going to run for a long time.

>With all the stories ever made, they feel the need to regurgitate this one as a tv series? Three movies were not enough? The story is full of holes. How the ... did a terminator end up as a substitute teacher in a high school? Why didn't the students all draw their weapons? ;) Besides, the "robo-babe" is ugly.

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
