Because 50,000 items in a combo is way too many. Try using a grid for those tables instead and the fomr will load almost instantly the frist time and every time. Combos and lists should not have more than a few hundred items in them.

If you think about it, a combo is a very poor control for the user to choose one of 50,000 items.
