Joao

I had a HP Deskjet 670c and the printer driver wouldn't release resources properly. I trouble shot this with MS and with HP till HP finally bought the printer back from us.

I went to a Lexmark and never looked back. I found this problem with other HP Deskjets I had access to, on numerous machines. It was duplicatable very easily, but I only confirmed this during 'PREVIEW' of reports.

Try this:
Click 'Start' 'Programs' 'Applications' 'System Tools' 'Resource Meter'
This puts the resource meter in the icon bar.
Double click on it to enlarge it.

Put a wait state ie: wait 'printing pages' window between your pages. Resize your screen so you can watch the resources and the VFP app. When I would 'Preview the Report', the 'GDI' and 'System Resources' would go down and never go back up. Normally, after previewing and printing the resources are released back to Windows. The HP print driver failed to release themselves. HP said it was a memory leak but there was not enough support for VFP to do anything about it - hence they bought the printer back from us!

I don't know if this is your problem but it certainly sounds like what I went through.
