I was able to do this by using the MouseEnter and MouseLeave events of the button. Storing the current button properties to form properties and setting new button props on the Enter, then setting them back on the Leave seems to work well. I also expand the button so it looks like it's popping out at you a little.

Plus, I used a larger image and with setting zOrder() the buttons look really sharp, each one getting slightly large and in front of the other buttons when the mouse is moved over it.
