Your statement would make sense under normal circumstances and if it worked, but the fact is that it doesn't work. I turned off my refreshSpecs method and used only ThisForm.Refresh() in the navigation buttons as the last thing to do, and it does not work. And, this is exactly why I went to specifically Refreshing the disabled objects, so that they would refresh. Without this specificity (man, what a word), the objects no longer refresh their data.
FWIW, in my experience, ThisForm.Refresh() only refreshes the Active Page.
