That is correct, but in that case, you're not using Advantage; you're using the VFP engine to access the tables. To use the Advantage engine, you use their ODBC driver or OLE DB provider. That's a good thing, IMO; you can continue to use the VFP tables directly in existing applications but migrate to a client-server model in new applications or as you modify the existing applications.
