Dear Mr. Berezniker,

Sorry for the delayed response of mine but we were pretty busy here at the office doing several test with the connection to the oracle database instance. We concluded that the native oracle ODBC driver is giving us problems when trying to retrieve records including CLOB fields which has data in it. Like I said a few days ago, even a 6KB pic will give us problems in the sense that after the SQLEXC(1,"select * from users") for example (where there's a 6KB pic in a CLOB field) VPF will keep writing to the HDD until the temporary file will reach a size of ~1.5GB.

We tried an oracle ODBC driver of DataDirect and this solved all our problems. The Only thing is that it's e trial version for 15 days.

Maybe you can still give us some advise regarding the usage of ODBC drivers for oracle, expecially when there's LOB datatype involved.

I would appreciate this very much.

Best Regards,

Aldrich
