Trying to access http://localhost/product/orders.aspx.

Works fine on Notebook, but not desktop (separate installations. They're both set up exactly the same. It works okay as a file system web site.

I've uninstalled Internet Information Server and reinstalled. I've stopped and restarted the server.

Local host web's that use just html work fine...no errors.

Anyone got an idea what to try next?

Update. I found the solution through Google by typing in "Failed to access iis metabase"

At the command prompt type C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v2.0.50727 aspnet_regiis -i

the version # being your version # of the .net framework.

Hope this helps someone else.
