Allie told me in the hospital that you had left a message and that she later talked to you. Very much appreciated. Emily deleted all the messages from the recorder. I asked why and she said they all said the same thing (!). I suspect she was angry. Still waters run deep with that one. The worst way to find out what she is thinking is to ask her directly. She clams up. You have to wait her out. Eventually she usually tells me, at least AFAIK, but it will be at a time of her choosing and she will choose what is said and what is unsaid. We have a lot in common but she is quite unlike me in that way. I tend to blurt things out and let the chips fall. Not her. She is probably wiser than me already.
