I agree with Viv about not having separate categories for VB and C#. The difference between the two mainly being syntax, they nonetheless share the .NET Framework and a lot of questions here are concept-based and "how do I do this..." kinds of questions.

I think that there is a good chance that people would post questions in the language-specific cateogory simply because that's the language they use ... regardless of whether or not it's a Framework issue that might best be answered regardless of language and might not be noticed in the language-specific category.

An example: I write WinForms apps exclusively. I don't know squat about ASP.NET. Consequently, I don't look too hard at the ASP.NET category here. Every once in awhile there might be a "generic" question there that has nothing to do with a web form specifically, though and would be something I could answer. Sometimes I'll miss those questions because I don't always look at those ASP posts.

If I didn't write the Tips column in your .NET magazine, I'd probably not even look at the ASP.NET category at all (but I need to include ASP Tips as well as WinForm tips, so I have to look <g>).
