>>As I am watching lots of POS in the market, I noticed that when the cash drawer is opened, the system is asking the user to close the cash drawer first before proceeding into next transaction. And our client is asking us to do the same with our FOX2.6 POS before replacing the existing PROGRESS POS. I said to myself and colleagues, hey they have done it, why not us?

Anyone can send that message after kicking the drawer open. Does the message disappear when the drawer is closed, thus indicating some kind of status detection in the app?

Yes, I did observed it for many times. The system knows if Cash Drawer is still open, and that message "please close cash drawer" is gone after the cashier closed it. And the exciting point here is there is no time limit for the cash drawer of being opened. The point is, it will not go to next transaction until the cash drawer is closed.
