Hi Tamar,
Well, you know what a bunch of louts those paternalistic Jews were back then. <g>
Seriously folks, the Bible (actually Torah) only tracks certains specific geneaological lines. That actually helps to lend credibility in the sense that the writings were an accurate reflection of the cultural norms of that time.
Many many individuals weren't mentioned or recorded.
>>>>At that time inner-relations couples (brothers and sisters) were not yet prohibited. Eve and Adam had many daughters and sons.
>>>
>>>Well, at the time of murder there were only four of them on Earth, and then there were three. And if the murder happens in Genesis 4:8, and at 4:17 (now how much time is that) he gets acquainted with his wife. Where did she come from? Or is there a time-lapse technique which was conveniently omitted somewhere in the EULA?
>>
>>No, the daughters are just not mentioned. But there are lots of midrashes.

>But, according to Doug, "historic Christianity" is the Bible and no more. So they don't read midrashim. <bg>
