North Carolina Company Agrees to Change Florida Practices Regarding Mail Solicitations
TALLAHASSEE, FL (Sept 2007) – Attorney General Bill McCollum today announced that a North Carolina company has agreed to change its business practices in the State of Florida, protecting consumers from potentially misleading mail solicitations. Eli Research, Inc., which does business under the name The Coding Institute, LLC, operates a call center located in Naples and publishes industry periodicals, newsletters and audio tapes. The agreement calls for the company to modify its advertising practices so consumers will no longer be misled to believe they have outstanding financial obligations to the company.
