He was never violent when I was married to him. This all started after we divorced .. which was in 2003. His drinking escalated .. his financial situation plummeted .. and he never treated the depression he was diagnosed with. It's a recipe for disaster.

And believe me .. I would have walked immediately had it happened when I was married to him. Violence is one thing I will *NOT* tolerate at all .. against me or my children. There is no excuse!!
