>Yet another approach would be for all of us to try a bit harder to get along and be respectful of others' points of view. That doesn't mean agreeing, it just means being respectful of their opinion.

Another approach would be for people who are twitted to look at the behavior that got them twitted and take accountability for those actions, instead of whining about it non-stop.

>>I understand you're somewhat joking here, but a formal 'you are twitted' PM, with neutral words, is one improvement.
>>
>>>In fact, I don't think the current twit filter is good enough. To truly be a useful UT feature the twit filter should send a huge email to the twitted person saying something tasteful and appropiate like "YOU'VE BEEN TWITTED DUDE!" or "You'rrrreeee OUTTA HERE " ... gr&d ...

>>>>>This is another argument to get rid of the twit filter. It's an absurd invention from the UT.

>>>>There's a lot of merit to the twit filter. It has prevented me from answering (at least reminded me that I promised to myself that I will not be answering - I can still see their messages quoted or when I view the whole thread) to posts from several people with whom I simply can't have any patience. And I think me not writing any messages of that kind has benefited UT in general :).
