From a personal point of view, I don't go to the doctor for a health issue for him to hand me a book and tell me that my solution is on page 1425.
I can see it now. You go to the doctor for a checkup. The doctor examines you and hands you a list of ICD codes, and sits you down at a computer in a near by office. You enter the codes one by one into a help file to get the results and a print out. An additional charge is made for the amount of time you use the computer. This charge will be a new ICD code. :)

I love it when the doctor checks off many ICD codes that may or may not be related to why you are in the doctors office. The more check marks the better the doctors income!
