I could really use a wizard style tool that would take the name(s) of a vcx and build me a diagram of each class and thier attributes, plus show me subclass heirarchy. Preferably a UML style diagram. I've searched for a vfp utility like this but with no luck. So my wheels are spinning about creating my own utility for possible upload to the files section here. But before I get entrenched in this little pet project, I could use a little input:

1. I dont want to reinvent the wheel, and I know nothing about products like Visual Modeler & Rational Rose. Is there any commercial product out there that does an auto generated UML style class diagram?

2. My original thought was to use Visio automation with VFP to create the diagrams from info hacked out of the vcx. That way I could give printed output, or html file output for those developers that feel secure being paperless :) So if I would go this route then would anybody wanting to use my utility also need to have a copy of Visio? Any thoughts on a better automation tool to do UML class diagrams?

3. I dont have Visio Pro 5 yet (just 4.5 Pro and I've been meaning to upgrade). Anybody familiar with version 5 documentation yet? In 4.5 they give you the guts of what a developer needs, but they also give you just enough to make you go buy thier Automation development book. IOW if I do this, should I count on spending $ on both the upgrade & another addition to my fast growing library or does the Pro 5 version give enough documentation for someone a little green with Automation to get off and running with quickly?
