>Hospitals were not designed for people to sleep in.

Ain't that the truth!! My son spent many nights in hospitals over the last few years and I was always by his side. You would think .. as important as sleep is to the healing process .. the hospital would make sure you get lots of sleep. But no .. the people in the hallways talk all night long making noise .. the nurses burst into your room in the middle of the night, flick on lights, and take your stats .. like they couldn't have checked his blood pressure without him. And then there's that IV pump that always starts beeping 3 or 4 times a night. And at 5:30 am, the doctors make their rounds and flick the lights on and want to talk about how you're feeling. Um .. I'm feeling tired and irrated right about now! And then at 6:00 am the techs come in and take blood .. and then your breakfast arrives .. and on and on.

That was a huge pet peeve of mine when we stayed in the hospital. I was always exhausted by the time we left!!
