If you think the valuation of the dollar has anything to do with whether or not people feel warm and fuzzy about George Bush you really don't understand how things work. European bankers have a long history of being willing to profit from the devil himself if it made a franc, a mark or a kroner.

But that is not my objection. The comparisons to Mugabe, Marcos and Amin are childish and pollute arguements that might otherwise have merit. I find that intellectually offensive for the same reason I don't like to see people on balconies shouting at mobs to stir them up or claiming the bugs in MS Vista are because Bill Gates eats babies.

>>And still GWB calls himself a believer in God. How he can look himself in the mirror every morning and keep on telling lies all the time, amazes me. He will be remebered as the worst president in history, even worse than Idi Amin, Ferdinand Marcos and Robert Mugabe.
>>
>>Do you really expect this kind of nonsense to be taken seriously? Hyperbole is fine when your drunk in a room full of like minded believers shouting at a TV set, but this kind of comparison is like saying being insulted by a French waiter is The Holocaust.
>>
>>I'm not a particular fan of GWB's presidency, but get a grip. Do you actually *know* any history ?
>
>Oh yes, I'm pretty good in history. I also see how your president uses more and more money, running your country into bigger and bigger problems. Your problems has probably just started. The Norwegian Oll fund, one of the biggest funds in the world with about 400,000,000,000 USD in assets, is now selling most of it's US shares and bonds. The reason is that we don't believe that the USD will be able to regain it's value within the foreseeable future. Has that been on the US news? Do you really have any idea how low your president is valued around the world?
>
>I have absolutely nothing against americans in general, on the contrary, I love americans. And I also love USA which I visit once or twice a year. But I have also seen the increasing number of unemployed people and the increasing number of homes which are for sale. I am amazed at the degree of incompetence you are willing to accept and applaud. Don't you see the signs on the wall?
>
>With that said I step out of this thread. I really don't want to offend anyone, but sometimes I think it's better to say what I mean than just accepting things which I find totally wrong.

Charles Hankey

Though a good deal is too strange to be believed, nothing is too strange to have happened.
- Thomas Hardy

Half the harm that is done in this world is due to people who want to feel important. They don't mean to do harm-- but the harm does not interest them. Or they do not see it, or they justify it because they are absorbed in the endless struggle to think well of themselves.

-- T. S. Eliot
Democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on what to have for lunch.
Liberty is a well-armed sheep contesting the vote.
- Ben Franklin

Pardon him, Theodotus. He is a barbarian, and thinks that the customs of his tribe and island are the laws of nature.
