have a grid fully defined on a form. now decide i want the grid as a class. how can i do this?

also, i have a member in a class library. want to copy that member into the same VCS (of course i will give the new member a different name). i have one object that is very similiar to an object i need to create. would like to have the existing object as a starting point. do not want to subclass.
