>What needs to be fixed in Canada?
Basically the same stuff as needs fixing in the U.S.
We are generally somewhat behind, but in lockstep, with how things are done in the U.S.
We had a much smaller manufacturing base, for example, but moves to Mexico, and now China, have made us once again primarily a resource (commodity) economy. Current high prices for oil and gold and copper are helpful, but these things are always temporary.
Our banks, insurers, oil companies, communication companies and most other businesses are operating more and more like their U.S. counterparts.
We are lucky in that - as yet, but no doubt being worked on by those desireous - our lives are not totally governed by our credit rating number.
