boy i feel stupid. did not realize there was a difference between grid on a form and grid on an object.. said my grid was on a form for simplicity. actually the grid that i want to make a class is on a container object, not a form. but i know see that i can copy the container grid to a form and then save as a class. not straighforward but will work.
one down and one to go. still interested in how to copy a class without subclassing. any ideas?.
