Frank,
>I have only one small question mark about the functioning of the picklist control in MM.Net. Specifically, we have and existing application that uses a picklist to perform a progressive seek on the records in a table based on the selected presentation order, highlighting the "most likely" entry as it goes. If the user reaches the needed entry directly from the progressive seek in the picklist object, pressing return retrieves the relevant detail data for the indicated entry AND move the focus to the second tab (page) of the form, where this detail data is presented.
> I've not been able to determine if there is any way to extract the picklist processing on the picklist form and install it on the first tab (page) of a custom form and have the relevant detail data be used to automatically populate the detail page of the form.
> Based on what I know at the moment, it appears that performing such a selection is only possible by using the picklist object and its associated secondary form. And, in the case of a selection like "Jones", getting the entire list of people named "Jones" instead of the name "Jones, David" which was the one I selected.
You could actually use the mmPickListSearch object to peform the search for you.
