What terrible news. It's clear how much you loved her, as it has been clear in earlier posts. Despite everything. I know it's not much consolation now but you were lucky to have each other for as long as you did.

This part is going to be the hardest. Just keep in mind that it can't get any worse than this, and will with time get a little better. That's not diminishing your loss. It's just the way we as human beings try to cope.

You are not alone.

In fact, I just got an idea which gives me a smile (sorry) but may be a good one, who knows? I know there is at least one other UT person in Memphis <g>. The dope smoker and the tough guy sheriff -- that's why I'm smiling. But seriously, maybe you and John should get together for a cup of coffee or something. He and I don't agree on anything but I know he is someone who can be counted on in a rough spot.
