>If you go with HDTV packages, Direct TV has far more than any other provider. If you are looking for reliability under all weather conditions, then cable tv is still the better choice. In the past, friends of mine who had satellite have had to come to my house during hurricanes to watch the news. Time Warner is also a good choice if you want the whole package: internet access, ip phone, and cable. I'm waiting for the day when DSL and satellite can offer all three as well in one affordable package.

I have DTV and it is really spotty when it rains. It is very very annoying. However, I have talked to people that have better luck.

Was thinking of going with DirectTV for their basic package, which includes all the channels we are interested in, and keeping the internet with cable. Both companies swear they are the ones we should be with.
