Hi Bob,

>I use to be a consultant, and still have customers using my products from way back (80's-90's) I occassionally get a call from one of them to tweak something that no longer meets their needs. It is usually not a hugh deal, and I usually do it for FREE because I want people using my software, and seeing it in a positive light.

I feel the same way. But if you had over a million Vistamobile customers outside your shop waiting for service how much attention would you give that client? (Sorry for the car analogy again, but what can I say...I'm a gear head...) I know that these are different departments but I think it still comes down to priorities. I'm sure they would like to fix it, but if they don't have the time or resources to dedicate to it, which I don't believe they do right now. I would rather they leave it alone.

>But I don't want to detract from your efforts (and others) in extending the platform, just wish they would have finished on a high note.

I think we are on a high note (but I agree, it could have been higher). Its all a matter of perspective. Microsoft (and other companies) have dropped established products harder and faster than VFP.
