The 90 version uses GDI+ to render objects on the report. Previous versions use GDI to render objects. There are slight variations in these two mechanisms. I haven't done any testing on dot matrix so I can't say what would happen. The most common problem you see is that numeric fields with a format expression worked just fine in VFP 8, but in VFP 9 it renders slightly wider and causes '**************' on the report.

On any given page, I am losing 3 lines of detail, and this is pushing the footer off into thin air. By increasing the footer height, I can get my content back but a 1-2 inch footer is a bit much. I assumed setting 80 would give me backwards compatibility. Was I wrong?
