What I was intending to convey is that down these parts, there's folk with Confederate flags on their trucks expressing resentment about you (northern) Yankees and the civil war. Yep, one day y'all gonna get what's coming atcha. Grumbling by the Germans about the French rarely carries that level of resentment, though their war was a lot more recent. ;-)
