>I figured it would be worth sharing to use as a starting point for discussion and maybe developing it into something that represents common suggestions from all the participants.

Good starting point... I'll add a few.

>General ideas and goals:
>
>1. A foreign policy of peace

1.1 "All your oil/resources are belong to us" is abandoned as a policy. It only creates more wars and raises prices, while making a few corporations extremely rich.

>2. Emphasis on state's rights and people's rights and smaller federal government
>
>3. Respect for the environment
>
>4. Free universal health care
4.1 TANSTAAFL - but if everybody pays a bit, it can be much cheaper than the current rigmarole of paying for combined bureaucracies of insurers, pharmaceuticals, and retail (pharmacies and doctors) shuffling paperwork through the labyrinthine network of contracts.

>Specific ideas:
>
>1. All federal laws that violate the Tenth Amendment should gradually be eliminated or amended to the Constitution.
>
>2. Disband the electoral college through new Constitutional Amendment
>
>3. Constitutional Amendment that any new house or building must have solar panels on it
3.1 and any thermal isolation added to the houses is tax deductible.

>4. All laws relevant to corporations be re-evaluated with the people's interest in mind

4.1 Corporations lose the status of a person. That one was passed by a single judge and the rest of the avalanche was built on the precedent. Anything that followed from that is revoked. The corporations are legal entities just like in any other country, they are not legally people.

>5. Laws that coerce the states to a certain policy, such as the legal drinking age, should be eliminated

(no suggestion here, but to me it really doesn't make sense that one can drive a 5 ton killdozer at age 16 but isn't entitled to have a beer or manage their own trust until age 21)

>6. Eliminate federal drug laws except for socializing the manufacture and sale of pot for internal revenue

>7. Lift FCC censorship of swear words and boobs on TV

Can't have that while having a faith based government. First things first:

7.0 disband any relationship between the government and organized religions of any kind. Any religion which claims to be doing charity for charity's sake, can instruct its members do so anonymously together with others. If it's for its propagandistic effect, they should do it on their own, not with tax money. Same goes for education.
