When I was a manager a friend who was also a manager retired at age 55. He sold his house in Silicon Valley and paid cash for a custom house near I-5, and put $250,000 in the bank after the transaction. Then he bought a panel truck and started a janitorial service. He told me he was never happier. No more corporate you know what!

My wife thought that it was a bad idea but I agreed with my friend. Now where can I get a panel truck? :)
