Here is where I think federal money should go. This will require a hefty tax increase to pay for all of it but will be well worth it.

Mandatory socialized medicine
Foreign aid
United Nations
National Endowment for the Arts
National Public Radio
Public service announcements (anti-smoking, anti-guns, etc.)
Greenpeace
Planned Parenthood
Gay and Lesbian Alliance
Increased funding for the Internal Revenue Service

(Just yanking conservatives' chains....)
