>Without having read the other replies (yet), I agree. As a general principle I am a great believer in freedom of speech and for that reason was against John being banned in the first place. To me someone should be banned from a group, especially an online group where there is no direct interaction and twit filters exist, only for extreme transgressions, not just for irritating people.

>I think given the passage of time, and John's knowledge, which I don't think many would dispute, he should be given another chance. A statement of contrition from John and a desire to be more respectful of others that sounds genuine might go a long way towards persuading people to let him return.

Honestly though, why do "people" need to be persuaded? This is Michel's sandbox, so it's his rules. He is the one that needs to be persuaded.

If people don't like him they can twit him and go on with their day instead of being drama mommas. I don't like Peter but I am not whining for him to get banned.

>>I'd like to know who would be interested in petitioning the Universal Thread (obviously, Michel) to reinstate John V. Petersen.

>>To this day, I've had strong views that John was unfairly and unjustly banned back in September 2004. So many of his points still hold water today, and I think the UT needs him.
>>
>>So...who is with me that Michel should reinstate JVP?
>>
>>Thanks,
>>Kevin
