When you close menu designer after making some changes you will be prompted to save. Any problems appeared at this point may indicate corruption of VFP itself.
I hope that you have enough space on your hard drive to save results.
The second question: 'Result' column of menu designer allows you to select 'Command' or 'Procedure', i.e. add some VFP code which will start a form.
