>Is there a way to do this? I want to cancel my cable internet and use my Sierra Aircard to project a wireless signal from my laptop for our other familiy laptop to use. Want it to be secure also. I already pay $80/month for the service on the aircard and whenever the other laptop is being used, I'm home anyway, so if it could work that way, it would be sweet.

Something simpler:

My Aircard: http://www.powerfulsignal.com/wi-fi-cellular-routers/nexaira-3g-mobile-routers.html

The router I want to get: http://www.amazon.com/CradlePoint-Technology-Cellular-Travel-Router/dp/B000UO18FC#moreAboutThisProduct

The reviews say that this is pretty reliable and fast. John is saying it will basically suck. I already get a solid/fast connection on the aircard on my laptop. Is this a bad idea? Has anyone tried it?

UPDATE: And here is review on the router: http://alexking.org/blog/2007/10/24/evdo-over-wifi-cradlepoint-ctr350-review

I hate to buy it if it's not going to work, but so far it sounds pretty good.

Would love to hear from anyone in this techno-savvy group who has actually tried something like this.
