This was actually one of the areas where John and I disagreed. John ripped Craig's book. I didn't fully agree with John's comments - I didn't think it was a horrible book, but I also didn't think it was a very good book. I'm certainly in a position of authority knowledge here, having penned a book on Crystal and reporting.

I'll say this - many of John's comments re: Craig are spot-on. Craig's technical knowledge beyond Fox is not at all strong, and very likely less than what he would like people to believe (given the amount of name-dropping you'll see from him.)

Yes, John was brutal sometimes towards Craig....but having read many of Craig's technical posts in areas beyond Fox, his responses tend to be vague and sloppy - and John has no patience for that. If Craig wanted to "avoid John's wrath", he was probably better off sticking to what he knew (knows) well.
