I am trying to automate word from vfp9.2
on my laptop i have vista+office2007
on the user end we have xp+office2003

using word2007

oDoc=oWord.Document.Open(cFname.f.,.f.)

open the the file in read only mode but i need the user to ave the file (using the name!!!)
The 3. argument should signify not to use read only!)

can i force word2007 to stick to the .doc format an opne in read/write mode or do i have to dump office 2007 until this part of the project is done?
