Not all threads of the last couple of days have been monitored by me. From your last 10 posts some point to Walter. I sincerely hope you're not refering to the Dutch culture here. Walter is only one member of our society and I'm also just one other. Having said that, I recall the quite many negative words you've used here for me, esp. recently. I can handle that and have tried to deal with it in a sportive manner. I can't imagine that my reactions have led to your decision, not even partially, and I also regret that decision.

I really hope you'll be back soon. Perhaps in the mean time you can also consider the possibility that threads you participated in turned negative at least partially due to your own way of reacting, which was oftentimes sarcastic rather than constructive. (This is not a sarcastic comment. Rather a direct one. I admit, being direct is indeed a part of the Dutch culture.)

>I am going to be away for awhile. I don't like the negative turns a lot of these threads are taking and I don't like how it is negatively impacting my attitude. I admit that I have a weakness where I can't let things go if I don't agree with them. That actually isn't too bad of a weakness in real life, but in an online community where there are different people from different background and cultures it is very very frustrating. I spend way too much time hitting the "check for new messages" button.

Constructive frustration is the breeding ground of genius.
If there’s no willingness to moderate for the sake of good debate, then I have no willingness to debate at all.
Let's develop superb standards that will end the holy wars.
