That only works if I object to paying for whatever. I have no problem paying for schools, roads, trash collection, and a ton of other things that I consider the proper role of government.
I try hard to vote for what I consider in the best interests of the country (or whatever entity the office I'm voting for serves) rather than my personal interests.
