>>>Well maybe that means you won't see another for 40 years?
>>>
>>>That's a huge death toll for a single tornado! Do you have tornado warning sirens in that area (being in Kansas tornadoes are pretty common)?
>>
>>I left work early yesterday, about 4:30. When I got home, the siren were already starting. My cat came running in, crying about it. I think he blames me for the weather. Watching the weather station on TV I could not believe it was so close. Looking outside my front window, I could just see the top of the funnel. It was at that point I grab Tiger and move to the safest point in my home. There I stayed until the power came back on and the news gave the all clear sign. This last week has been a living hell on me. Between this and my wife passing away, it has all I can do to keep it together. But I guess one must carry on.

>I feel for you man. I wish you the best of luck,

>By the way, we've had twisters close enough that we've sat on the porch and watched them for upwards of 20 minutes as they cruised by. Kansas is open enough we have good visibility if one is coming (plus good warning on weatheralert). Luckily none have actually hit HERE!

I was born in Kansas City. I recall watching the twisters when I was a kid. I guess that is why this one did not truly scare me.
