I don't care. I'm almost glad I'm finally old :) - been the rookie in just about every situation you can imagine for nearly forever and then some.

Because it is a windows component, which was delivered with VFP which uses it. You maybe had it already from some other app. And it's still a must in every setup, because it's not guaranteed to exist on every Windows.
