Well, first of all, the fact that he thought to help others is commendable. And for the record I too care about others.
Secondly, not eating is in no way connected to feeding the poor. (I assume he speaks of africa's problems)
There is a much better but invasive way to get the job done. Load the hercs and ship it directly to the camps and villages. However this is just a quick fix. It was said earlier that education, housing and peace in the area are far more important. If you just deliver the food to their door, they will come to expect it. Instead find a way for small businesses to get a start in their communities and have the people in the area earn their food. Let them find their natural resources and sell them to the world. So, does someone have to go in and toss the assinine dictatorial greedy governments out on their heads? For all the good intentions, whoever takes that action will only be seen as bullying invader. How do you win?
