Thereabouts. Actually, that sentence was too harsh to start with; the religious people aren't completely irrational. They only agree to be rational about one part of their mental activity, and not so about the rest. I think it's not easy to reconcile this contradiction in one's head and I really don't envy them on the mental acrobatics required.
