Jason, I had this problem, and found there was a bug that showed up ONLY if you try to pack a table without enough space in your TEMP folder. You get an error message for the table that is too large, but your CDX file for that table are removed from the DBC.

Doug Hennig has a fix for it - it's a simple matter of replacing code. Just e-mail him and he'll send it.
