But of course, it's New York that has the incredibly loose residency requirement. This is nothing new. I remember a Tom Lehrer line from the 60's: "I'm from Massachusetts, the only state with 3 senators." (For those who aren't old enough to remember, the reference is to Bobby Kennedy, who was a senator from New York.)
If New Yorkers cared about being represented by New Yorkers, they'd change the rules.
