Ya that is a good link, and has en example of a technique I knew of but didn't have a good example for. Thanks!
My one problem with it is that it is not strongly typed. It looks like I will be avoiding using nulls in databases as much as possible. But will have to use this technique when I do need them.
I would have hoped for a more transparent method of handling nulls, but doesn't look like there is one.
